We’re living in a diverse era of style and fashion, where old meets new and gets reinvented with each person’s interpretation. This hairstyle is inspired by the juxtaposition of the old and the new.
It has a current allure with a vintage soul.
This is for Eva, the girl who has a penchant for classical violin and a passion for a good live rock show. She drives her grandpa’s old car proudly and would never think of trading it in. She likes to read and ponder the world but always has the time to let loose and have a good laugh.
Her look is polished in an effortless way and multifaceted without being overly complicated…just like she is.
FREESHAPE hot flex spray
has heat-activated elastic hold that allows you to easily transform and keep styles until the next wash. With Eva’s tousled look, you’d never know that every hair is exactly where she wants it.

If you’re like Celine, these are words to live by. She takes pride in her style and likes to keep a polished look, but in a way that contours to her unpredictable life.
This look is sleek, silky and simple to achieve, which is perfect for Celine because on any given day her busy schedule can take her from uptown to downtown and back. She often has to entertain clients or attend a last-minute dinner so making a good impression is always on her mind. And while she takes her job seriously, what she really loves are the simple things in life… home cooked meals, curling up with a good book, and leisurely evening walks.
It’s easy to see how a girl so balanced in life would manage to find an equally balanced style.

In the world of art and design, color and form are bound to one another. Alone, each loses its intensity. Melina is a natural trendsetter, a true fashionista and her vibrant hairstyles set the pace for her overall look and mood each day.
She likes to be bold and bright but most of all, she likes her sculpted look to reflect who she is- even if it’s only for that moment. She finds inspiration in art and architecture.
Andy Warhol is her biggest muse and covering the walls of her apartment are remnants of Pop Art artifacts, posters and prints… daily reminders that keep her dynamic spirit alive and her fashion forward senses infinitely inspired.

My inspirations come from photographers Mario Testino and Babak as well as designers like Karl Lagerfeld and the late Alexander McQueen. Watching films like, “The Devil Wears Prada” or “The September Issue”, gives me insight into the fashion world. Fashion magazines are also a huge inspiration for me. They provide great tear sheets, which help me create mood boards to tell the story behind a photo shoot.
In fact, a Vogue tear sheet that I kept for two years of Kate Moss photo-graphed by Mario Testino inspired the style and overall images that you see here. This collection got me through to the British Hairdressing Awards and has received great recognition throughout the industry. My ambition has always been to win Eastern British Hairdresser of the Year and Artistic Team of the Year so keep a look out for that!

As of late I have been really inspired by photographer Annie Leibovitz. From her beginnings at Rolling Stone and the celebrity portraits she’s famous for, to documenting her own personal life and the pain and bloodshed in the Balkans, Annie’s work is amazing and diverse.
Coming from a military family, she moved a lot and from the back seat of the car, she experienced America as the landscape passed by the window, like the shutter of a camera. Inspiration is created by this personal journey that each of us experiences. It fuels a never-ending search for excellence in personal and professional growth, while leaving a stamp in the books of art history, never to be forgotten and always revisited.
I see Annie Leibovitz and her work as an inspiration to all of us who consider ourselves creative people.

I take inspiration from many forms. Art, culture, design, fashion and nature have all provided me with various degrees of inspiration. To look at an object or a place and see it in a slightly different way than anyone else allows you to tap into your personal creativity.
There is no limit as to where or how you can be inspired. I believe it’s like anything in life: wherever you keep your focus, is where you get your results. So staying on your game and consistently looking for ideas is a great way to see the world around you differently.
Get out from behind the chair, take a trip, go for a walk, visit an art gallery and do something to awaken the artist inside you. You’ll be
glad you did and so will your clients.

I tend to draw inspiration from magazines, old movies, and nature. Sometimes I find inspiration in my own garden; long blades of grass resembling strands of hair or ferns for texture.
I have a bulletin board in my studio where I keep pictures that catch my eye. Once it’s full, I start grouping the pictures together by theme, color, texture and so on. I spend about a week or two just looking at the
board, arranging it and rearranging it. Then, when something clicks, I take everything down that doesn’t belong. What I’m left with is the idea!
